A 29-year-old man has been charged with attempted murder following an incident in Litherland on Wednesday, 17th April.
We were contacted by the Northwest Ambulance Service at 9.20am following reports that a man, who is in his 20s, had been found in Cross Hey with stab wounds to his back and chest.
He was taken to hospital for treatment where he remains in a stable condition.
Darren Spencer, of Lonsdale Road, Litherland, has been charged with attempted murder.
He was remanded into custody to appear at Wirral magistrates court today, Friday 19th April.
