Detectives have arrested a man as part of an ongoing investigation into online sexual offences.
The 43-year-old man from Southport was arrested yesterday, Sunday 8 December, on suspicion of the following offences:
Inciting a child to engage in sexual communications
Possession of indecent images of a child
Possession of cocaine
Possession of cannabis
Possession of offensive weapons in a private place.
The latter three offences relate to items seized following an address search.
He remains in custody for questioning.
