We have charged a man following a business burglary in Rock Ferry in the early hours of Saturday, 8 June.
At around 5.45am, officers received a report of access having been gained to Lidl on St Pauls Road and a safe stolen. CCTV and witness enquiries are ongoing.
Robert Edwards-Sutton, 38, of Lansdowne Road, Birkenhead was arrested and has now been charged with Burglary other than in dwelling.
Edwards-Sutton will appear at Wirral Adult Remand Court this morning, Monday 10 June.
Detective Inspector Phil Ryan said: “Although an arrest has been made, enquiries are ongoing and therefore we are still keen to hear from anyone who lives locally or who was passing the location in the early hours of Saturday.
“If you and saw or captured anything on dashcam or other devices come forward as we continue to investigate.”
