We can confirm that emergency services are currently in Liverpool city centre this morning, Sunday 2 June, following reports of a concern for safety of a man.
The emergency services, including Merseyside Police, Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service and North West Ambulance Service, were called to reports that a man had fell from a building on William Jessop Way at around 5.40am this morning.
Enquiries into the incident are ongoing and officers remain in the area to establish the full circumstances.
A road closure is currently in place and motorists are advised to avoid the street. Thank you for your patience as we deal with this incident.
