Man charged with drug supply in Wallasey

A man arrested in Central Park in Wallasey has been charged with intent to supply heroin and crack cocaine as part of ongoing work to tackle county lines drug dealing.

The force’s county lines taskforce, as part of Project Medusa, arrested a man in Central Park yesterday (Thursday 16 May).

Andrew David Smyth, 25, of no fixed abode has been charged with possession with intent to supply Class A drugs (crack cocaine and heroin) and breach of a sexual harm prevention order.

Smyth was remanded in custody to appear at Wirral Magistrates Court today, Friday 17 May.

Project Medusa is the Merseyside-led initiative to tackle County Lines drug dealing and criminal exploitation across the country.
