Officers investigating the disappearance of 66-year-old Dennis Wyatt can confirm that a body of a man was found yesterday, Sunday 10 November.
Mr Wyatt went missing on Sunday 3 November and since then extensive inquiries have been carried out by officers to find him.
The body of a man was found by a member of the public at around 10.25am yesterday, Sunday 10 November, in woodland off Boardmans Lane, in St Helens.
Mr Wyatt’s family have been informed and are being supported by officers from Merseyside Police at this sad time.
At this time the death is being treated as unexplained and a post mortem examination will take place to establish the cause.
The body is yet to be formally identified.
