We have arrested two men after a car was stopped in the Wirral area last night, Thursday 31 October.
At around 8pm officers stopped an Audi A6 on Palm Grove in Birkenhead. Following a search of the car a large number of banknotes were recovered, together with numerous identification documents and bank cards registered to different people.
A man aged 25, and from the Manchester area, was arrested on suspicion of acquiring/using/possessing criminal property, driving while disqualified and using a motor vehicle without insurance.
A man aged 27, and also from the Manchester area, was arrested on suspicion of acquiring/using/possessing criminal property.
Both are currently in custody.
