We are appealing for information following a report of criminal damage to a car in Huyton last month.
At around 5.30pm on 20 September it was reported that a man on a bike approached a car at the lights on the junction of St Johns Road and Tarbock Road and was verbally abusive to them.
It was further reported that the cyclist then threw his pedal bike towards the car. He walked away then returned and attacked the vehicle with a metal bike lock which damaged the car windscreen and injured the driver and passenger.
And investigation is being carried out to identify the suspect, and officers are appealing for witnesses or anyone who captured any CCTV, doorbell or dashcam footage to please get in touch.
The cyclist is described as aged late 30s, slim build, brown hair with a dark brown/ginger beard.
Detective Constable Grace Fieldhouse said: “This was a shocking incident which left both victims with minor injurie – cuts and grazes.
“We are appealing for any witnesses who may be able to assist the investigation by helping to identify the offender. Moreover, witnesses who may be able to provide dash cam footage to please contact us.”
Anyone with information on this incident is asked to contact @MerPolCC on Twitter or ‘Merseyside Police Contact Centre’ on Facebook with reference 24000810860.
