Dispersal orders introduced in areas of south Liverpool to keep public safe during Halloween and Bonfire period

As in previous years, precautionary Dispersal Zones have been put in place in areas of south Liverpool so everyone stays safe during the Halloween and Bonfire period.

Dispersal orders are in place at the following locations:

Dingle from 3.25pm today to 3.25pm on Friday 1 November, which includes Grafton Street, Harlow Street, Park Road, Dingle Lane, Dingle Road, Garswood Street, Grafton Street.

Belle Vale from 3.30pm today to 3.30pm on Friday 1 November, which includes Naylorsfield Drive, Sarum Road, Childwall Valley Road, Barnham Drive, Gateacre Park, Grange Lane, Belle Vale Road, Lee Vale Road, Kings Drive and Naylorsfield Drive.

Garston from 3.35pm today to 3.35pm on Friday 1 November, which includes Blackburne Street, Banks Road, Speke Road, Church Road, Chapel Road, Earp Street, Seddon Road, Garston Way and Church Road.

Speke from 4.15pm today to 4.15pm on Friday 1 November, which includes Speke Boulevard, Western Avenue, Clough Road, Alderfield Drive, Hale Drive, Speke Hall Avenue and Speke Boulevard.

These dispersal zones are under Section 34/35 of the Anti-Social Behaviour & Policing Act 2014, which gives police officers the powers to direct people engaging in anti-social behaviour or are likely to become involved in such incidents and not return for up to 48 hours. Officers also have the power to seize items used for anti-social behaviour.

Should a person who has previously been directed to leave but returns to the area, then an offence would be committed, and they may be arrested.
