We are appealing for information following a collision at the Childwall Fiveways Roundabout yesterday (Tuesday 1 April).
At around 4.30pm emergency services were called to the Fiveways roundabout outside Oak Vale medical centre on Childwall Road to reports of a collision involving a silver Ford transit van and a man in his 70’s.
The man was taken to hospital where his condition is described as serious but stable.
The driver of the van stopped at the scene and is assisting police with their enquiries.
Officers are speaking to potential witnesses and exploring CCTV opportunities in the area to establish the circumstances of the collision.
Inspector Simon Wilson said: “This would have been a distressing incident for anyone who witnessed it.
“Childwall Fiveways is a busy junction and we would be keen to hear from anyone who witnessed this incident or who may have dashcam footage to get in touch.”
Anyone who witnessed the incident is asked to contact our Matrix Serious Collision Investigation Unit on (0151) 777 5747, email [email protected], or DM @MerPolCC with reference 25000267502 of 1 April 2025.
