We are appealing for information after a child was taken to hospital for assessment following a collision in Toxteth today, Sunday 20 April.
Shortly before 5.45pm emergency services were called to Greenleaf Street where it was reported a blue VW Taigo had been in collision with a child.
The boy was taken to Alder Hey Children’s Hospital by family for assessment.
The VW was also in collision with a stationary red Ford Fiesta.
The driver was detained at the scene by officers and arrested on suspicion of drug driving, and taken into custody to be questioned.
