We are issuing CCTV images of a man detectives would like to speak to following a sexual assault on a bus.
At 12.43pm on Friday 24 October, a woman in her 20s was sitting on the top deck of the Number 14 Stagecoach bus towards Liverpool when she was sexually assaulted by a man, who repeatedly touched her leg.
The victim is being supported as our enquiries continue.
Detective Constable Alexandra Lindley said: “The man pictured could have information to assist, so if you recognise him please come forward.
“These CCTV images are part of extensive work and I would like to take this opportunity to remind people to contact us via our official channels and not speculate on social media, as this is an ongoing investigation.
“If you have been a victim of a sexual offence, there are various ways to get information to us, either directly to police or via organisations we work alongside, so please take a look at the advice on our website. All reports will be treated with sensitivity and compassion.”
Advice can be found here: How to report rape, sexual assault or other sexual offences | Merseyside Police.
