Two men and a woman have been arrested after large amounts of Class A drugs and cash were found in Liverpool.
Yesterday (Thursday 18 December) officers from EVOLVE, an operation designed to reclaim areas worst affected by serious and organised crime and rebuild safer, stronger communities, were on plain clothes patrol when they spotted a man who they believed was supplying drugs on Curate Road.
Officers detained the man at an address in the area and found a suspected amount of cocaine.
Officers then searched the address and found large amounts of suspected cocaine, cannabis and cash.
Two men aged 52 and 42 and a 35-year-old woman from Liverpool were arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply class A & B drugs and possession of criminal property. All three were taken into custody.
Detective Inspector Christopher Taylor said: “Thanks to the actions of our officers who stopped a man who was acting suspiciously on Curate Road a large amount of dangerous drugs have been uncovered and removed from our streets in one of our EVOLVE areas.
“Behind every drugs line and dealing location is real harm – to families, to young people being exploited and to the wider community.
“We will continue to target those who cause harm in our communities and work closely with our partners to make our neighbourhoods safer but to make the biggest difference we ask residents to keep telling us what they know so we can take action against those engaging in criminality.”
