We can confirm emergency services are currently in St Helens following a serious collision on the Rainford Bypass earlier today, Saturday 22 February.
At around 11.35am, it was reported that two vehicles had been involved in a collision near its junction with St Helens Road.
A road closure is currently in place at the junction while emergency services deal with the incident.
A woman has been taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries and enquiries are ongoing to establish what happened.
