We are continuing to appeal for information following a serious collision involving two pedestrians and a van in Wallasey on Saturday 12 July, with a dedicated link set up to send footage.
At around 8.15pm, a white Ford Transit van was in collision with a seven-year-old boy and a 65-year-old-man on Hampstead Road.
The child suffered a broken knuckle and was treated at hospital.
The 63-year-old man sustained serious injuries and remains in hospital in a stable condition.
The driver of the van, which had a female passenger, failed to stop and the vehicle was found abandoned a short time later on Gorse Crescent.
We are appealing for witnesses, CCTV and dash camera footage which may assist the investigation.
Constable Roads Policing Matt Potter said: “Our enquiries are ongoing in to this collision and would appeal to people to not to share the footage out of respect for the family of the two injured pedestrians, but instead send us the footage via the link below.
“I also ask local businesses and homeowners in the area with CCTV and doorbell to check their systems to see if it has captured footage of the white Ford Transit van driving past.
“Likewise we ask motorists who were in the area at that time to review their dashcam as any help we receive, no matter how small could assist our investigation.”
