A man has been charged following reports of a burglary in Liverpool city centre in May.
At around 12.55pm on Sunday 25 May, a briefcase was stolen from a staff area at the Aloft Hotel on North John Street, containing electrical items and other valuables. A second bag belonging to a staff member was also taken.
Gerard Ian Privilege, 36 years, of Langton Road, Liverpool was arrested and later charged with two counts of burglary, two counts of burglary with intent to steal and four counts of fraud by false representation.
He was remanded into custody to appear at Liverpool Magistrates Court on 21 July where he was conditionally bailed to appear at Liverpool Magistrates Court on 11 August 2025.
