Wanted man arrested at Liverpool John Lennon Airport

We have arrested a wanted man following enquiries at Liverpool John Lennon Airport yesterday, Sunday 6 July.
At around 8pm, Matrix officers attended arrivals at the airport following information received. The wanted man was detained with the assistance of Border Force officers. Following a search, suspected cannabis and magic mushrooms were also reportedly found in his possession.
The 24-year-old man from Old Swan was arrested on suspicion of Supply of cannabis; and Importation of Class A and B drugs.
He was taken to a police station for questioning and remains in custody at the time of writing.
