A woman has been charged with assault following a disturbance in Southport.
We received a report just after 8pm on Saturday 28 June of a disturbance at St George’s Place on Lord Street where a woman approached another woman and hit her. The victim sustained a cut to her nose.
Officers attended and a woman was arrested nearby.
Deborah Murphy, 39 years, of Fleetwood Road in Southport, has been charged with assault by beating and has been released on police bail to appear at Liverpool Magistrates Court on Monday 18 August.
