We are appealing for witnesses following a report of indecent exposure in Birkenhead yesterday, Monday 9 June.
It was reported that at around 8.15am, a man indecently exposed himself on Alton Road which was seen by two schoolgirls walking along the road.
The offender is described as tall with dark hair.
Officers attended and carried out search of the area. CCTV enquiries are ongoing.
Local Policing Inspector Nicola Hughes said: “This was a very distressing incident for the two girls, and they did the right thing in reporting it their school.
“We have stepped up patrols in the area and encourage people with any concerns to speak to us.
“We also appeal to anyone with information which will help with the investigation to please contact us.
“I urge residents on Alton Road who has CCTV or dashcam footage to please review it to see if it has captured something which will assist with our enquiries. Any information, no matter how small, could assist our enquiries and help us find the man responsible.”
Anyone with information is asked to call 101, DM @MerPolCC or Facebook ‘Merseyside Police Contact Centre’ quoting log 231 of 9 June.
