We have charged three men from Liverpool with conspiracy to commit burglaries and conspiracy to steal.
The arrests came as part of an 18-month investigation into a linked series of offences involving targeted attacks on cash machines at supermarkets and the theft of high-powered cars and emergency services cutting equipment in Merseyside, Cheshire, Greater Manchester and Nottinghamshire.
The offences are alleged to have taken place between January 2020 and February 2025.
Warrants were executed at addresses in Liverpool yesterday, Thursday 12 June, with the support of Liverpool and Knowsley Targeted teams.
Carl Kettle, 39, of Avis Walk, Fazakerley; Lee Kettle, 39, of Cartwrights Farms Road, Liverpool and Barry Dillon, 44, of Galbraith Close, Liverpool, have all been charged with conspiracy to commit burglary and conspiracy to steal.
They were all remanded into custody to appear at Liverpool magistrates court today, Friday 13 June.
