We are today, Monday 10 March, continuing to appeal for witnesses after a collision involving a bus and a pedestrian in Liverpool city centre on Saturday night (8 March).
A report was received just after 11pm that a single decker Arriva bus had been involved in a collision with a 27 year-old man outside the Empire Theatre, on Lime Street.
The pedestrian was taken to hospital with serious injuries. He remains in hospital in a critical condition.
The driver stopped at the scene and is assisting with enquiries.
Roads Policing Inspector Jason Higham said: "We are continuing to appeal for any passengers on the bus or pedestrians in the area who witnessed the collision and have not yet come forward to do so as a matter of urgency.
“We would also like to speak to anyone who thinks they may have captured it on their dashcam or mobile phone.”
Anyone who witnessed the incident is asked to contact our Matrix Serious Collision Investigation Unit on (0151) 777 5747, email [email protected], or DM @MerPolCC with reference 25000197568.
