A man has been arrested following reports of concern for the safety of a man in Liverpool city centre this afternoon (Saturday 29 March).
Officers were called to flats on Henry Street after 11.30am today where it was reported a man was behaving erratically and shouting threats in the communal area of the flats.
Patrols including specialist police negotiators attended and the man was detained at the scene at around 2.30pm.
Officers would like to thank local residents for their patience and understanding whilst this incident was ongoing.
A 47-year-old man from Liverpool has been arrested on suspicion of threats to kill, attempted arson and public nuisance. He has been taken into custody.
