A man has been charged with causing death by careless driving after a woman in her 80s died following a collision in Hoylake in January 2023.
Just before 6.45pm on Wednesday 11 January, officers were called to a report of a collision on Market Street involving a pedestrian and a blue Saab.
Sadly, the pedestrian - 83-year-old Ana Marcroft - was pronounced deceased at the scene by paramedics.
Garry Dow, 43 years, of Kington Road, West Kirby has now been charged with causing her death by careless driving.
He appeared at Liverpool Magistrates Court on Monday 17 March and is due to appear at Liverpool Crown Court for a pre-trial plea hearing on 14 April.
