Police have arrested two women and confiscated a large amount of suspected Class A and Class B drugs that would have ended up on Merseyside streets.
Officers obtained a warrant to search a property in Poulton yesterday, Thursday 13 March. Following the search they found large amounts of suspected cocaine and cannabis.
Two women aged 49-years-old and 25-years-old from Poulton were arrested on suspicion of possession with the intent to supply drugs and were released pending further investigation.
Inspector Mark Berry said “Drug dealing causes devastation and can have a long-lasting impact on our communities and the people who live and bring up their families on Merseyside.
“Those who participate in the supply of drugs at any stage are helping to sustain an illicit trade that relies on violence and intimidation.
“We remain committed to pursuing those who choose to deal drugs and disrupting their activity and we would always encourage anyone who has information about drug dealing or criminality in their community to contact us so we can take action.”
Anyone with information on drug dealing should contact Merseyside Police social media desk via X @MerPolCC or on Facebook ‘Merseyside Police Contact Centre’.
