A man has been arrested following a stabbing and bike robbery in Whiston on Tuesday 27 May.
Officers were called to Pottery Lane at around 10.15pm after receiving reports that a 17-year-old male had been stabbed in the buttock and had his black and white electric bike stolen.
The victim was taken to hospital and is now recovering at home.
On Wednesday 28 May, officers arrested a 20-year-old man from Huyton on suspicion of robbery. He has been released on police bail.
Detective Inspector James Rotheram said: “Although we have made an arrest, we continue to appeal to anyone who has information about the incident to help with the investigation.
“If anyone knows the whereabouts of the stolen bike which is described as a black and white Rock Rider MTB to please contact us so we can bring the offenders to justice, or if you see one matching its description for sale to please contact us.”
