A teenage boy who died following an incident in Eastham on Wednesday 30 April has been formally identified as 16-year-old Zack Sim.
At around 5.45pm, officers, along with NWAS, MFRS and the Coastguard, were called to Eastham Locks, off Bankfields Drive, to a reports a teenager had gone into the water.
Following an extensive coordinated search, Zack’s body was sadly recovered.
It is currently believed that Zack may have suffered a medical episode and fallen into the water.
At this stage it is believed there are no suspicious circumstances surrounding Zack’s death and the matter has been referred to the coroner.
