We are appealing for witnesses after a pensioner died a month after being involved in a road traffic collision in Wirral.
Harry Murphy, 72, from Seacombe, was the front seat passenger in a silver Toyota Yaris which was in collision with a silver Ford Focus on Bidston Link Road at around 11.30am on Wednesday 29 October 2025.
Mr Murphy was taken to hospital where he has remained since the incident. He sadly died from his injuries on Wednesday 26 November.
His sister has today paid tribute to him saying: “Harry was a loving son and brother and he will be deeply missed by everyone who knew him”.
Detective Sergeant Kurt Timpson, Lead Investigating Officer from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit said: “This is a tragic incident and our thoughts remain with Harry’s family. They are being supported by specially trained family liaison officers. It is our priority to get answers for them and I appeal to the public to help us do that by contacting us if they have information which may assist the investigation.
“I believe there were numerous other motorists who were driving past on both sides of the dual carriageway at the time who could have vital information to help our ongoing enquiries. If you saw the collision or anything else that you feel we need to be aware of, please get in touch”.
