A man has been charged following a domestic-related incident and vehicle pursuit in Kirkby earlier this week.
On Wednesday 19 November officers responded to a report that a man was assaulting a woman in a car on Norbury Road before driving the wrong way down the road and mounting the kerb.
The woman was taken to hospital for assessment and is recovering from her injuries.
Michael Strange, 37 years, of no fixed address, has been charged with criminal damage, S47 assault, driving a motor vehicle dangerously, possession of an offensive weapon in a public place and driving without third party insurance.
He appeared at Liverpool Magistrates Court today, Friday 21 November, and has been remanded into custody.
