Man charged with nine offences following domestic incident in Sefton

Detectives have charged a man with nine offences following a domestic incident in Sefton.

On Saturday 18 October police were called to an address in Thornton following reports of a disturbance.

Harry McPartlin, 25 years, of Gray Street in Bootle, has been charged with four counts of Section 47 Assault (actual bodily harm), three counts of non-fatal strangulation, common assault and criminal damage.

He appeared in Merseyside Domestic Violence Remand Court today (Monday 20 October) and has been remanded into custody.

Detective Inspector Keith Swift said: “There is help available to anyone who may be suffering domestic abuse of any kind and together with partner agencies, we will do all that we can to support you.
 
“Domestic abuse can happen to anyone, and we have specially trained officers who will listen to you and support you with sensitivity and compassion. 

“I would ask everyone to look out for family members, friends or neighbours that may be suffering. By contacting us, you could be helping someone who is too afraid to help themselves. Everything you tell us is taken extremely seriously and will be investigated thoroughly.”
