Police have made a further arrest in connection with a stabbing in Netherton on Thursday evening, 11 September.
Just after 6.15pm we received a report that two males, a 17-year-old male and a 26-year-old man, had self-presented at hospital with slash wounds to their hands. Both victims are recovering at home.
It was further reported the assault had taken place outside the shops on Park Lane by six males armed with weapons. The offenders wore balaclavas and rode off towards Park Hotel and Aintree area.
In addition to stealing the victims’ electric bikes, they rode off on two black electric bikes and two red and white off-road scrambler bikes.
Yesterday, Sunday 14 September, officers arrested a second man in connection with the incident.
The 20-year-old man from Maghull was arrested on suspicion of robbery. He has been released on police bail with conditions.
A 19-year-old man who was arrested on Friday 12 November has been released on police bail with conditions. He was arrested on suspicion of possession of an offensive weapon in a private place and robbery.
CCTV and witness enquiries are ongoing to identify all the suspects responsible, and detectives are appealing for people to check their CCTV, doorbell footage or dashcam for any footage which may help with the investigation.
