We have arrested three people on suspicion of drugs supply offences following an incident in Moreton yesterday, Wednesday 10 September.
At around 3pm, we received a report that drugs were being sold in the area and officers attended to carry out inquiries.
The following people were arrested on Garrick Avenue:
A 25-year-old woman from Huyton on suspicion of:
A 29-year-old man from Norris Green on suspicion of:
A 40-year-old man from Egremont on suspicion of:
All three remain in police custody.
A knife was also seized from a car at the scene and searches are ongoing at addresses linked to the suspects.
Detective Inspector Phil Ryan said: “I hope this incident shows how seriously we take reports of drug dealing in our communities and how we use a number of pro-active measures to stop organised crime groups.
“Offenders involved in drug supply rely on threats, intimidation and violence to keep their illicit trade alive.
“They ruthlessly exploit vulnerable drug users and often also take advantage of vulnerable young people to do their bidding and store or transport drugs.
“We will continue to pursue anyone involved in drug supply through early morning warrants, stop checks, land searches and more so they can be brought to justice and our communities protected from the harm they bring.”
