Matrix officers seized suspected Class A and B drugs, cash and offensive weapons during searches in the Liverpool area last night, Thursday 23 April.
At around 7pm officers on patrol spotted a male leaving an address in Toxteth before going to a car where he was seen acting suspiciously.
The male then got into the car and drove away. He was stopped by officers and the vehicle searched. During the search balls of white powder were recovered together with a quantity of cash and cannabis resin.
The male was detained and arrested.
Following a search of a nearby property wraps of white powder, cannabis and other drugs paraphernalia was recovered.


A 32-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply controlled drugs Class A – Cocaine, possession with intent to supply controlled drugs Class B – Cannabis and possession of criminal property.
He has been released under investigation pending further enquiries.
Following the man’s arrest officers were conducting further enquiries in the Belle Vale area at around 9.40pm when a man was seen to leave a neighbouring property. Upon seeing officers, he ran back into the property.
Officers then entered and carried out a search during which a number of offensive weapons including Zombie knives were located.
A 34-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of possession of an offensive weapon in a private place and possession of a controlled drug Class B (cannabis).
He is currently in custody.
Matrix Inspector Ian Cowell said: “Our work to remove drugs and weapons from our streets continues. We always rely on the public to be our eyes and ears and would ask anyone who has information about drug dealing or criminality in their community to tell us so we can take positive action.”
