A man has been charged after several house burglaries in Liverpool where a car and other items were taken.
Between 12.20am and 1.40am on Wednesday 29 April it was reported that two men were seen at the front door of a property on Forefield Lane. The two men broke into the house and took car keys and a vehicle parked outside the address.
Later that day officers found the vehicle at a carpark on Hapsford Road. Officers approached the vehicle and detained the driver after he tried to start the engine. Officers also found a wrap of suspected heroin in the driver’s mouth, cash, numerous bank cards and screwdrivers when they searched him and the car.
56-year-old, Paul Brabin, of Marsh Lane in Bootle was arrested and later charged with burglary, attempted burglary, going equipped for theft and two counts of possession of a controlled Class A drug.
He has been remanded and will appear at Wirral Magistrates Court this morning, Friday 1 May.
