Detectives from Project Medusa are welcoming the sentencing of a Litherland man to 10 years and eight months for drug supply offences.

Jake Gerrard, 34, of Linacre Road, was sentenced at Liverpool Crown Court yesterday, Thursday 9 April. He was convicted of Possession with intent to supply cocaine, MDMA, psilocybin, 2CB and DMT; and Being concerned in the supply of psilocybin and DMT.

On 10 November 2025, officers caried out a warrant at an address in Coral Drive, Bootle, resulting in the location of a commercial‑style setup used for the preparation of controlled substances, including specialist equipment, large quantities of cooking ingredients and extensive drug packaging materials. Significant quantities of controlled drugs were recovered throughout the address.

A further address was identified in Linacre Road where officers located additional controlled drugs, weighing equipment and further evidence consistent with large‑scale drug supply.

In total, officers seized:

  • Psilocybin / psilocin (dried mushrooms): approximately 3.77 kilograms, with an estimated street value of £37,653
  • 2CB tablets: 6,616 tablets, with an estimated street value of £33,080 – £66,160
  • MDMA tablets: 556 tablets, with an estimated street value of £2,780 – £5,560
  • DMT: 27 grams, with an estimated street value of £1,350 – £1,890
  • Cocaine: 19 grams, with an estimated street value of £760 – £1,330
  • LSD: 85 tabs, with an estimated street value of £170 – £425

Speaking after the sentencing, Detective Inspector Jay Boardman said: “Gerrard is a career criminal who will now serve a significant time off the streets, and we have seized various controlled drugs which were destined for our communities. Drug supply spreads misery to users, to those exploited by the suppliers, and the wider harm to communities we see from organised crime.

“If you have any information on drugs being supplied where you are, come forward and we will continue to take positive action.”

Anyone with any information about drug-related activity is asked to call Merseyside Police on 101 or on Facebook and X @MerpolCC.
