We are appealing for witnesses following a robbery in which a man was assaulted and had his electric bike stolen in Liverpool.
We were called to the Morrisons Store on Besford Road in Belle Vale at 6.30pm yesterday, Thursday 19 February, following reports an 18-year-old man had entered the store with a stab wound to the back.
It is believed the man had been cycling along the Loop Line, also known as the Ralla, with another male when he was assaulted by male, and had his bike stolen.
The man was taken to hospital with a non-life-threatening injury.
An investigation is underway and CCTV and witness enquiries are being carried out.
Detective Inspector Mike Fletcher said: “We would appeal to anyone who was in the area of Besford Road at around 6.30pm last night who heard or saw anything or has any information which could assist the investigation to contact us.
“We are particular keen to speak to anyone who has a dashcam fitted to the vehicle to establish if they captured anything significant.
“Thankfully the man suffered a non-life threatening injury but this could clearly have been a lot more serious and we remain committed to find out who is responsible.
“I would urge the public to support us by telling us what they know.”
