CCTV appeal following robbery in Liverpool city centre

Detectives are issuing images of two males who may have information following a robbery in Liverpool city centre last week.

At around 12.55pm on Thursday 9 July, an incident took place inside Greggs in Roe Street (near to Queens Square Bus Station), in which two males entered, threats were made to staff and attempts were made to steal food items.

It was believed that one of the suspects was in possession of a wooden handled knife. The suspects made off on foot towards Liverpool Lime Street. Enquiries are ongoing.

Detective Constable Robert McKee said: “As part of our investigation, we would like to speak to the two males pictured, as they may hold valuable information to assist this work.

“Likewise, if you were in the area and witnessed this incident, please come forward.

“Threats towards hard-working staff in our businesses will never be tolerated and we will proactively investigate all such incidents to keep our city centre safe.”
