We are appealing for information after a house was broken into in Woodchurch yesterday evening, Wednesday 3 June.
At around 7.50pm we received a report four males were acting suspiciously in the area of Grass Wood Road and Hoole Road. They were then reported as entering the rear garden of a property on Grass Wood Road and left carrying unknown items.
The males are described as wearing tracksuit type clothing with one dressed in a dark brown jacket and trousers.
They made off in the direction of the public footpath which runs between Grass Wood Road and The Meadow.
Police attended and carried out a search of the area.
An investigation is now underway including forensic examination and obtaining CCTV and doorbell footage.
Detective Inspector Sarah Wilkinson said: “I would urge people who saw someone acting suspiciously in the area of Grass Wood Road and Hoole Road at around 7.45pm onwards to please contact us.
“I would also ask people who were in the area to check their dashcam, CCTV or doorbell footage to see if they may have captured something which may be vital to the investigation.”

A dedicated portal where people can send CCTV, smart doorbell or dashcam footage of suspicious activity in your area but don’t know if it is linked to a specific offence. It can be uploaded here: https://unitedkingdom1cpp-portal.digital-policing.co.uk/merseyside/appeal/castle
Your footage will be reviewed for potential links to reported offences in your area and may help us gather evidence to solve burglaries and bring offenders to justice.
