We are continuing to appeal for information following a serious collision in Moreton this morning, Wednesday 17 June.
At around 8.15am, we received a report of a collision involving two Harley Davidson motorbikes and a white Nissan van on Fender Lane. The driver of a fourth vehicle, a car was involved but was not directly in contact with any other vehicle.
Two adult male motorcyclists and a woman in the van were taken to hospital for treatment. One of the riders remains in hospital being treated for serious injuries. The woman remains in hospital with life changing injuries.
The road has since been reopened.
Detective Sergeant Simon Duffy from our Matrix Serious Collision Investigation Unit (SCIU) said: “Our thoughts are with those injured during the collision this morning and we are supporting both of those injured and their families. I would also like to thank members of the public that stopped to assist in the immediate aftermath.
"This was a very serious collision and we are keen to speak to anyone who was in the area at around 8.15am. The road was busy at the time and I would urge anyone who witnessed the incident, to come forward immediately. If you were in the area with a dashcam, then please contact us so that we can check for anything that may be potentially useful to our investigation.
“We are particularly looking to speak to any motorists travelling from the roundabout where Fender Lane meets Hoylake Road. If you believe you witnessed any of these vehicles prior to the collision, we would also like to speak to you urgently."
