A man was arrested on suspicion of Class A drugs offences after a stop check by Police Community Support Officers (PCSOs) in Crosby.
The officers were on cycle patrol at around 12.05pm yesterday, Monday 1 June, when they spotted a group of males gathered at the rear of shops close to Hougoumont Avenue in Waterloo.
The males began to disperse and the officers detained a man a short distance away.
A police constable attended and carried out a search of the man. A large quantity of cash and a mobile phone were recovered.
The man was taken to a police station and searched and 131 wraps of suspected cocaine and heroin were recovered from his underwear.
A 19-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply Class A drugs (cocaine and heroin) and conspire to supply a controlled drug of Class B (cannabis).
He has been released under investigation pending further enquiries.
