A man has been arrested as part of an investigation into a social media post that reportedly encouraged people to riot in Liverpool.
Social media posts allegedly shared by the suspect in the past week also appeared to encourage violence against children.
A 26-year-old man from Derby has been arrested today (Wednesday 17 June) on suspicion of intentionally encouraging/assisting an offence, namely riot, under Section 44 of the Serious Crime Act 2007.
He is in custody for questioning and enquiries are ongoing.
