A man has been charged after reports a man was seen in possession of a knife at a hotel in Aigburth on Monday (1 June).
At around 1.20pm we were called to the reports at Liverpool Aigburth Hotel on Aigburth Drive.
Officers attended, swiftly detained a man at the scene and recovered a knife and a BB gun.
There were no reports anyone was physically harmed during the incident.
Anton Major, 35 years, of Allington Street, Liverpool was arrested and later charged with threatening a person with an offensive weapon/bladed article in a private place, possession of an imitation firearm with intent to cause fear and threats to kill.
He has been remanded into custody to appear at Wirral Magistrates Court today (Tuesday 2 June).
