We can confirm that a teenage boy has been charged with attempted robbery following an incident in St Helens last week.
At around 2pm on Wednesday 27 May, officers responded to a report of an attempted theft of a motorbike from outside Four Acre Shopping Centre in Clock Face.
A 17-year-old boy from St Helens, who cannot be named for legal reasons, has now been charged with Attempted robbery and Threat to damage/destroy property.
He was remanded in custody and will appear for trial at Liverpool Youth Court on Thursday 23 July.
