We have charged two teenagers with Attempted robbery following an incident in Prescot last week.
At around 11.30pm on Wednesday 3 June, a man was cycling home from work when he was approached by youths on Garden Walk, who were riding electric bikes. The victim was allegedly racially abused and threatened, before his bicycle was kicked, causing him to fall to the ground and sustain grazes.
A 14-year-old boy from Huyton, who cannot be named for legal reasons, has been charged with Attempted robbery.
A 14-year-old boy from St Helens, who cannot be named for legal reasons, has been charged with Attempted robbery.
They will next appear at Liverpool Youth Court tomorrow, Tuesday 9 June.
A third boy, also 14, remains on conditional bail pending further enquiries.
