Detectives are issuing an urgent warning and appeal for information following a burglary at a pharmacy in Stockbridge Village in the early hours of today, Saturday 13 June.
At around 4.55am, officers were informed of an alarm being activated at Care Pharmacy in The Croft. Officers attended and found that a large amount of drugs were stolen, most notably Digoxin, which can be extremely harmful if ingested without prescription. If you do so, then call 999 immediately and get the affected person to A&E.
CCTV and other enquiries are ongoing today.
Detective Inspector Yoseph Al-Ramadhan said: “Primarily, we want the public to be aware of the dangers of Digoxin so if you have been offered this or any other stolen drugs, let us know immediately and do not ingest anything you have not had subscribed.
“I would also ask anyone who lives in the area and saw, heard or captured anything to come forward as soon as possible as our work continues."
