We have released a CCTV image of a man who we believe could have information following an armed robbery in Anfield.
At around 5.30pm on Wednesday 25 February, we received a report that a male had entered Premier shop, on Breck Road, armed with a knife.
The suspect threatened a staff member and took a quantity of cash from the till before fleeing the scene on foot.
No one was injured, but the staff member was left shaken by the incident.
An investigation is ongoing into the incident and we are releasing an image of a man who we would like to speak with because he could have information.
Detective Inspector Natalie Charlesworth said: “This was a shocking incident in which an innocent staff member was threatened with a knife.
“She was only trying to do her job and it’s completely unacceptable that she has been subjected to such an appalling incident.
“Thankfully she wasn’t injured, but she was understandably left shaken and we are determined to find the person responsible.
“Our inquiries into this robbery are ongoing and we believe the man pictured in the CCTV image could have information about what happened.
“If you recognise this man, please come forward and tell us what you know. Your information could be vital to our investigation.”
