We are investigating following reports of a burglary at a post office in Hoylake.
At just before 1.20am today, Monday 2 March, we were notified of an intruder alarm having been activated at the post office on Market Street.
Officers attended and found damage had been caused to the front door and the smoke alarm had been activated.
It is believed a number of males had entered the post office. A small amount of cash is believed to have been stolen. The males left the scene in a car.
An investigation is underway, and house-to-house, witness and CCTV enquiries are in the process of being carried out.
