We can confirm officers are currently in attendance at Childwall Sports and Science Academy following a report of a threat towards a pupil which is believed to have come from a teenager today, Thursday 14 May.
The report was made just before midday.
There is not believed to be any wider threat to any other pupil or member of staff at the school.
Officers, including a dedicated Safer Schools Officer, are currently at the school to provide reassurance, and enquiries are being carried out into the incident.
The decision to lockdown the site has been made by the school.
