We have arrested three people following a collision in Everton.
At around 6.25pm on Tuesday 14 April we received a report that a blue Peugeot van had been involved in a collision with a male pedestrian on Jennifer Avenue.
The van failed to stop and made off in the direction of Scotland Road. The vehicle was later found abandoned on Latimer Street in Vauxhall.
The victim, a man in his 30s, sustained a serious head injury and was taken to hospital. He has since been discharged.
A 34-year-old man from Liverpool has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and possession with intent to supply a controlled drug Class A (cocaine).
A 33-year-old man from Liverpool has been arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender, possession with intent to supply a controlled drug Class A (cocaine) and possession of a controlled drug Class B (cannabis).
A 29-year-old woman from Liverpool has been re-arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender and additionally with possession with intent to supply a controlled drug Class A (cocaine).
All are currently in custody.
