We are appealing for information and footage after staff were assaulted during an attempted robbery at a service station in Toxteth on Tuesday (6 October).
Shortly after 3pm it was reported two males pushed a female member of staff and repeatedly punched a male colleague at the Essar service station on Sefton Street.
They attempted to enter an office inside but left empty handed.
The victim, a man in his 40s, sustained facial injuries and attended hospital for treatment.
One of the suspects is described as a white male, around 5ft 4in tall and of large build. He was wearing a grey hoodie, dark grey trousers and dark shoes.
The second male was described as being around 6ft tall and wearing a dark navy tracksuit. Both had their faces covered.
They got into a green Ford Puma driven by a third man following the incident, which was driven onto Hill Street. Of note, the car did not have a registration plate at the front (see images).
The car was set alight a short time later on Hill Street.
Detective Chief Inspector Gary Stratton said: “The offenders in this case have shown a complete disregard for staff who were simply trying to earn an honest living, and left one requiring hospital treatment.
“We are appealing for anyone who saw any part of this incident to contact us.
“If you saw a green Ford Puma being driven in a suspicious manner before or after the incident, or three males running from the car in the Hill Street area, we urge you to contact us.
“We want to bring all three perpetrators to justice and information or footage you provide could be the key to helping bring justice for the victims in this case.”
