Appeal following collision at Liverpool Shopping Park, Old Swan

We are appealing for information following a collision involving a child pedestrian and an electric bike at Liverpool Shopping Park in Old Swan on Saturday 3 October.

It was reported that at around 1.30pm a male delivery rider on an e-bike was in collision with an 11-year-old girl outside Hollywood Bowl at the retail park on Edge Lane. The rider apologised and then rode off.

The child sustained serious injuries to her face and was taken to hospital for treatment.

An investigation is underway including carrying out CCTV and witness enquiries in the area.

Constable Chris Lightfoot from the Roads Policing Unit said: "We are appealing to the rider to come forwards to help us with our enquiries and would urge him to contact us as soon as possible

“We are also keen to speak to anyone who witnessed this collision to please contact us. Any motorists who were in the vicinity we ask you to please review your dashcam footage in your vehicle to see if it captured the incident to help with our enquiries.

“If you saw the collision, including the events leading up to it, then we would be grateful to hear from you.”
